Capturing the beauty of wood, artist Michael Rea has crafted a “supergun” that is just jaw-dropping. Named after the artist’s girlfriend, “Benita” is a 30-foot wooden artillery gun whose barrel crashes right through the gallery wall into the apartment space in back. The supergun is complete with other all-wood sculptures like kegs, smaller weapons, a bong and a sword. This one-of-a-kind artwork is based on fiction, rather than reality.
