Retired Clay County couple aims to build Noah’s Ark adaptation

Global warming is upon us. So, while each one of us is devising his/her own methods to survive it somehow, a Wabash Valley couple is busy building a sailboat, which they call Faith, on a converted tennis court in the front yard of their house. Despite being unaware of actual ocean conditions, Tom West and Marsha – both retired – hope to sail it someday.

It will be a 57-foot long, 6.5 feet tall and 33-ton sailboat when completed. The couple also aims to supply their sailboat with about 600 square feet inside. Both have spent two years building it, and are expecting their creation to hit the Gulf of Mexico by this spring positively.
