T-Mobile launches Nokia XpressMusic 5610

T-Mobile has announced the availability of the Nokia XpressMusic 5610 on their network. The latest in the XpressMusic line from the Finnish manufacturer isn't exactly new, given that it has been available in other markets since October, but this should be the first time it's officially appearing on the American scene. This 5310 upgrade has all the features that the XpressMusic 5310 was liked for and adds a bit more to the same slider form factor, albeit shedding a bit of weight in the process. Keeping in mind that music is its forte, the XpressMusic 5610 carries over everything from the 5310 including dedicated music controls and adds an innovative "music slider" located below the 2.2-inch TFT display for quick access to music player and radio. The camera has also been bettered to a 3.2-megapixel lens from 2-mpx lamer on the 5310 along with dual-LED flash and 20MB internal memory with further expansion via microSD slot (1GB card included in the package). The battery can last for up to an impressive 22 hours of music playback, 6 hours of talktime, and 320 hours in standby mode. The only thing missing is 3G, with speeds topping out at EDGE, but that shouldn't stop any music lover if they are really inclined to get one of these. Available on T-Mobile now for $99 on a two-year contract in colors of black with red lining and white with silver.
