The brainchild of Slavche Tanevski of Munich University of Applied Sciences, Mercedes-Benz Nimbus concept was the part of a project completed during an internship at Mercedes Exterior Design Studio. The Nimbus is a Mercedes Benz car taxi with an innovative layout, designed as a new visual and practical solution for the crowded cities in 2025.
The environmental concerns are also firmly dealt with and the Mercedes-Benz Nimbus is propelled by four hub mounted electric motors supported by the lithium ion batteries under the floor. This results in placing the driver’s seat forward and spare space for some extra rows. The drivers sits in the middle and that gives him excellent visibility due to the absence of front struts and a glass dome.
Further, there is an element over the head of the driver that not only performs the aerodynamic and protective function, but also visually separates the passenger space from his workplace. The passenger cabin can seat up to five people, three with luggage and large glass area gives them the spectacular view of the scenery.
