Samsung has added yet another handset to its Wave family with the latest model Wave 578 GT-S5780 at the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona. New Wave 578 comes in sleek design, runs bada OS and features Near Field Communication chip. Samsung will make Wave 578 available in May of 2011 in France and later in other European countries, CIS, South East Asia, India, Middle East, and China. The price of this phone wasn t revealed.
The all new Wave 578 S5780 sports a rich communication suite that features myriad social communication tools meant for chatting or sending messages. Of course, the Social Network Service integration connects your contacts with their social network accounts directly. So you can check the Facebook status updates and Twitter updates without having to tap across several applications.
Wave 578 runs Samsung's own bada OS v2.0 with TouchWiz 3.0 UI over it. Other features of this bada smartphone include Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB port. The phone also features QuickType by T9 Trace for up to three times faster typing and the multi-touch functionality adds icing on the cake.
