OVO integrates green design with great utility for the perfect urban commute

Urban commuting has become a major issue when it comes to tackling pollution from big cities. It is those who move from home to work and then back on weekdays and run many little errands on weekends that add the most to the carbon-footprint of the planet. Going electric is a fine way to avoid most of this (though you still might want to not depend on traditional grid power for charging) and Robin O’Neil Matthews has just the thing that will help you with it.

OVO fits the definition of the ‘perfect urban scooter’ with great ease. Its sleek design allows you to weave your way through the traffic mess in the rush hours. Being an all-electric vehicle, it will not lead to any on-road carbon emissions and if you can have a solar panel-powered source at home with the help of few PC units, then it becomes completely green. The Scooter is not just great for the planet, but its retractable cover on top, daft maneuverability and cool style make it awesome to sport as well.

The entire design conceived by Robin is planet-friendly as it uses raw materials that are all good to go into the recycle bin. The Scooter has a compartment under the seat and another one behind you to carry luggage and even comes with a spare battery on-board, which allows you to juice up in case you want to extend your trip suddenly or are stranded without charge somewhere.
We absolutely love the OVO and see no reason why it should not be on the road already. It does not use any ‘unrealistic technology’, seems ready to go into a manufacturing mode and should be a popular scooter to sport thanks to its ‘chic look’. Hopefully someone with big cash will get behind the OVO and make it a reality.
