Rob Collins sees UK gardens falling victim to global warming

Future will be catastrophic indeed if we do nothing to tackle global warming before it is too late. We have been listening to such warnings a number of times, but realizing the enormity of such premonitions is something we always ignore. Now making the entire notion visually stirring and reasonably appalling as well is Rob Collins, whose paintings depict how a 2C or 4C rise in global temperatures will expose the UK to a Mediterranean weather.

In the next few decades, you would see passionflowers, cacti, nectarines, oranges and bananas replacing foxgloves, delphiniums, beeches and chestnuts. Pasture-land will be a thing of past, lakes will silt up with soil erosion, and droughts will choke ponds (if there would be any). The predictions are based on computer models generated by the Met Office Hadley Center as part of a National Trust campaign. Collins puts all these predictions on his creative canvas.
